Pam Ball is a registered occupational therapist with over 30 years experience in hand therapy, including splinting and treatment of acute traumatic hand and upper limb injuries, arthritic conditions, work and sports-related injuries, congenital conditions and neurological hands. Pam is proud of the following accomplishments:
- B.Sc. from Tufts University – Boston School of Occupational Therapy
- Continued post-graduate education in numerous hand-related and splinting related conferences
- Adjunct Clinical Professor with McMaster University School of Rehabilitation Science
- Teaches splinting skills and physical assessment skills in McMaster University, OT Master’s Program
- Clinical preceptor OT students from McMaster University and other university programs including international placements
- Member of Canadian Society of Hand Therapists, American Society of Hand Therapists, Canadian Association of Occupational Therapy, Ontario Society of Occupational Therapy
- Active member of McMaster University Hand, Arm, Nerve (MacHANd) Group – an interdisciplinary team promoting excellence in education, clinical service and research for hand and upper limb injuries, diseases and disorders
- Founder and chair of Hamilton Hand Interest Group
